About This Product

Beef suet is the raw, hard fat from around the kidneys—the premium fat for rendering your own tallow. Creates the whitest, cleanest-tasting tallow. Also traditional in British puddings and pastry. Grass-fed suet contains higher levels of CLA and omega-3s than grain-fed.

How to Use

To render, chop or grind cold suet, then heat slowly at 250°F until fat is liquid and cracklings are crispy. Strain through cheesecloth. The resulting tallow is pure white with clean, mild flavor. Store at room temperature or refrigerate.
